Cendant Corp., New York, a franchiser of hotels, real estate brokerages and car rental operations including Avis Rent A Car System, last week announced changes to its Individual Membership business unit. The changes include a restructuring organized around three product categories: travel, shopping and new-product development. Cendant also appointed new senior executives to the unit. Scott W. Bernstein was named senior VP-general manager of new/other products (new-product development, privacy and card protection products); Ric Leutwyler was named senior VP-general manager, Travelers Advantage; and Nathaniel J. Lipman was named senior VP-business development and strategic planning. All report to Michael P. Monaco, vice chairman of Cendant. Earlier in the week, Cendant announced an agreement to sell its Match.com online dating service to Ticketmaster Online-CitySearch for $50 million in Ticketmaster common stock.

Valentine Radford, Kansas City, Mo., created a new division, Valentine Radford Relationship Marketing, to build customer-focus marketing programs.

Volvo Cars of North America selected Harte-Hanks Data Technologies, Billerica, Mass., to build and manage its relationship marketing database.
