Chevy breaks racing ad

General Motors Corp.'s Chevrolet division, Detroit, on Feb. 20 debuts motorsports advertising for the Monte Carlo on NBC's Daytona 500 coverage. The new :30 from Campbell-Ewald, Warren. Mich., continues using the animated Tasmanian Devil, who drives the Monte Carlo race car. As passenger, racer Jeff Gordon gives Taz tips on introducing a race car onto the track. The estimated $10 million racing-linked push includes upcoming print and radio, and a second TV spot next month with Team Monte Carlo driv-ers Dale Earhardt and his son Dale Jr.
