John Young, chief creative officer for North America at Tribal DDB, New York, the interactive arm of Omnicom Group's DDB Worldwide, resigned effective Feb. 6. Mr. Young, 40, who informed staffers of his decision in a memo on Jan. 31, said he has no immediate plans to join another agency. "The last 10 years have been a sprint," he said in a phone interview. "I'm going to take the next couple of months off, if I can."

Prior to joining DDB two years ago, Mr. Young was chief creative officer of Modem Media, Norwalk, Conn. (formerly Poppe Tyson), where he was one of the pioneers of Internet advertising. Modem Media is 46%-owned by True North Communications.
