Cadillac Ad for Shanghai
Marketer: General Motors Corp.
Brand: Cadillac
Title: "Cadillac"
Agency: Leo Burnett, Shanghai

Resembling nothing so much as a Chinese version of Laura Croft, a shapely pilot in a haute couture flight suit maneuvers her advanced jet over the deserts to reconnoiter a pod of Cadillacs below. To her amazement, the vehicles compete with her own craft in sleek line and blistering speed. This is the latest GM ad for the China market.

Blue Man Cranks Up

The Blue Man Group is back for Intel and dangling from the ceiling in this spot. They're cranking it up for Intel Centrino and the joys of wireless life.

Wacko in the Next Chair
Marketer: Cingular
Brand: Cingular N-Gage
Title: "Outburst -- Lizzie"

In a mini drama as absurd as it is true-to-life, a digital game geek freaks out fellow patients in a waiting room. The spot humorously captures how games transport users into a totally different mental zone.

Eating Bark for Skittles
Marketer: Mars/Masterfoods USA
Brand: Skittles
Title: "Lumberjacks"
Agency: TBWA/Chiat/Day, New York

With a nod to Monty Phython as well as the Village People, this vignette offers a peek at a crew of burly lumberjacks enjoying a communal tree bark chew. But, hey, that was just until a fellow jack returned from town with an even better chew: Skittles' new bubble gum.

iPod Silhouette Dancers
Marketer: Apple
Brand: iPod
Title: "Saturday Night"
Agency: TBWA/Chiat/Day

This is the latest, but no less spellbinding, spot in Apple's ongoing iPod series of silhouette dancers commercial. This spot received the highest consumer recall score for the period of Sept. 13-26 in the bi-weekly Intermedia Advertising Group survey.

Railcar Beer
Marketer: Coors Brewing Co.
Brand: Coors Light
Title: "Railcars"
Agency: Foote Cone & Belding, Chicago

Exactly what is a "cold insulated railcar" anyway, and what does that have to do with how beer tastes? Not clear but it doesn't have to be. After all, this is just advertising. And, at least, next time you have a hankering for a good railroad beer, you'll know which brand to ask for.

Multiple Personalities
Marketer: Lady Foot Locker
Brand: Adidas Collection
Title: "Apartment"
Agency: AKA Advertising, New York

This is a look at a hip, young urban female suffering a cinematic form of multiple personality disorder but sporting great shoes. The thematic hype of the spot, directed by Kathi Prosser of Chelsea Pictures, is 'A Shoe for Every You.' Now that's a tagline with a lot of sole.

Marketer: Hyundai
Brand: Tucson
Title: "Outdoors"
Agency: Richards Group

You've no doubt often asked yourself how many barbecue grills, tents and bicycles could be crammed into a Hyundai Tucson SUV. Well, here's the answer. Tucson is Hyundai's assault at the lower end of the SUV price range.
