CNBC names ad sales team for Asia

HONG KONG -The launch of CNBC Asia Business News, a service of NBC and Dow Jones, has resulted in a new regional sales team to oversee advertising for the Asia/Pacific region.

Ricky Ow, formerly the general manager for distribution of Asia Business News, is now regional ad sales director, Asia Pacific of CNBC International.

Sean Chu, formerly of Dow Jones International Marketing Services (DJIMS) in Tokyo, is now ad sales director for North Asia. Mary Yao, previously television sales director of DJIMS Hong Kong is ad sales director for Greater China and the Philippines.

Also based in Hong Kong is CNBC International's Television ad sales executive Victor Cheng. And Jack Lim, formerly broadcast sales manager of DJIMS Singapore, is ad sales manager for South East Asia.

The new Asian business channel resulted from a global agreement between CNBC and Dow Jones and went on-air Feb. 2 of this year with launch parties in Singapore, where the channel is based, and Hong Kong, Asia's other regional sales hub. CNBC Asia Business News is distributed via satellite, cable, terrestrial broadcast networks up to 24-hours a day and on seven satellites in the Asia/ Pacific region, reaching about 60 million households.
