Worldwide, the incumbent, and Grey Worldwide, both New York, are out of the contest. Insiders said the battle is between FCB Worldwide, New York, and Saatchi & Saatchi, New York and San Francisco, which has denied participating in the review. Also, Compaq is said to have named Gary Eliot, a former Ogilvy & Mather executive, to head up advertising. Compaq did not return calls seeking comment.
