CompUSA's launches ad campaign

Published on ., CompUSA's new e-commerce site, Jan. 7 launched a three-month multimedia ad campaign. It is the second phase in a marketing campaign that began late last year. The campaign from Mullen, Wenham, Mass., includes TV, print and online ads with the tagline " Buy smart.'' The ads are designed to be funny takes on a promotion in which the e-tailer plans to give away a Xerox laser printer to customers who spend $750 or more on the site. The spots show people who are desperate for printers to get out their messages, including someone who's taped a computer laptop displaying a lost cat message to a telephone pole.
