ConAgra Foods, Omaha, said Nov. 2 it has acquired a strategic stake in FoodFit.com
, a health and nutrition Web site, to strengthen its relationship with health-minded consumers. ConAgra's large portfolio of food products includes such health-oriented brands as Healthy Choice and the Advantage/10 line endorsed by Dr. Dean Ornish. The announcement follows yesterday's news that General Mills, Minneapolis, had signed a multiyear agreement with America Online that includes the development of consumer promotions and cross-marketing campaigns, the first of which is a contest for the Chex brand cereals and party mix where consumers can win an "ultimate party."
