Conde Nast mulls charging for Web content

Conde Nast Publications' Conde Net, like many other online units of print media companies, is considering adding new personalization features to its service and charging for premium services. Editorial Director Joan Feeney said virtual recipe files for Epicurious or e-mail updates on topics of interest are examples of potential new features.

"The more likely thing we might start with [before charging] would be to ask users for editorial information that we could use" to inform Conde Net about content readers want on the site," said Sarah Chubb, Conde Net director.
