NEW YORK -- Hearst Magazines International's Cosmopolitan, which claims to be the world's biggest selling magazine for young women, launches in Thailand this month its 30th international edition.

New international advertisers that have been attracted to the edition, along with local marketers, include Chanel, Estee Lauder, Lancome and Tiffany & Co, according to HMI.

The magazine will be published by Pacific Hearst Co Ltd, a joint venture between HMI and the Pacific Group, which produces local women's magazine Dichan. It will appear monthly and have an initial circulation of 50,000.

Cosmopolitan's planned introduction to Thailand was first revealed in June last year, when a launch date was set for January.

Kaysinee Suthavarangkul is named as editor of the Thai edition. She joins from Dichan where she was assistant editor-in-chief.

Hearst Magazines International publishes 82 editions of Hearst magazines that are distributed in more than 100 countries.
