With a royal divorce officially in the works, Princess Diana is wearing the Cover Story crown for March. The latest chapter in the decay of the House of Windsor earned Di six covers for 7.5 points; she graced the covers of Time, Newsweek and People all in the same week, along with some tabloid appear-ances.

Other celebrities finishing in the top 10 for the month are: Demi Moore and Michelle Pfeiffer, 7 points; Whitney Houston, 5 points; Sharon Stone, 4 points; Melanie Griffith and Christian Slater, 3.5 points; and Tori Amos, Gillian Anderson, Halle Berry, Garth Brooks, Pat Buchanan, Coolio, Sally Field, Keiko the whale, Nicole Kidman, Chris O'Donnell, Keanu Reeves, Cynthia Rowley, Claudia Schiffer, David Schwimmer, Elisabeth Shue, Tiffani-Amber Thiessen, Shania Twain, Bruce Willis and Oprah Winfrey, all tied for eighth place with 3 points.
