Denny's down to 2 finalists

Denny's will decide by early May between two agencies to serve as lead creative shop for its estimated $10 million account. The Advantica Restaurant Group chain, based in Spartan-burg, S.C., will choose between WestWayne, Tampa, Fla., and Kaplan Thaler Group, New York; the finalists will pitch next week. Incumbent Lowe Lintas & Partners World-wide wasn't included in the review because the chain was "looking for fresh thinking," an Advantica spokeswoman said.
