Deutsch wins all of Ikea

IKEA Home Furnishings has consolidated its estimated $40 million plus North Amer ica advertising account at Deustch, New York, eliminating agencies Roche Macaulay & Partners Advertising, and Ammirati Puris Lintas, both Toronto. Joakim Gip, ext ernal communications manager, IKEA, said the consolidation will result in more ef ficent marketing programs in the U.S. and Canada and is a result of the store's consolidation of its marketing resources operations into one office in Plymouth M eeting, Pa. Separately, Roche Macaulay will become lead agency for IKEA Germany as a result of a successful project launched there earlier this year. The compan y has not yet announced a decision on its media buying review.
