The "Breakaway" TV campaign for General Motors Corp.'s 1998 Cadillac DeVille breaks this week with a slice-of-life approach focusing on Chicago, the Carolinas and California's Monterey area. "Breakaway Chicago," the first of the spots, features the city's landmarks, lifestyle and jazz and blues background, with Anita Baker singing. "Breakaway Carolina," featuring Ray Charles, breaks in December, and "Breakaway Monterey" will debut in April.
