DMB&B Hong Kong wins insurance, Mars accounts

HONG KONG -- D'Arcy Masius Benton & Bowles has won the creative advertis- ing account for the Manulife Group insurance and pensions company in Hong Kong and China, according to Managing Partner Mark Ingrouille. The win follows a three-way pitch against J. Walter Thompson and M&C Saatchi, while CIA Pacific won the media business over Carat.

DMB&B was also appointed the agency of record for Mars in Hong Kong and China to handle the media planning and buying for all brands, including Dove, M&M's, Skittles, Maltesers, Pedigree, Whiskas and Uncle Ben's, following a pitch that included the incumbent Grey and several media independents.

Meanwhile, Craig Harries has been appointed to head the agency's planning department, and DMB&B has opened its brand presence specialist subsidiary, RMA, in Hong Kong, and will soon launch its PR subsidiary, Manning, Selvage and Lee.
