DMB&B retains global Australian tourism account

SYDNEY--The Australian Tourist Commission has extended its $50 million global advertising contract with D'Arcy Masius Benton & Bowles for a further two years.

The ATC board approved the extension in recognition of "DMB&B's excellent work in development of the Brand Australia Millennium campaign," says ATC deputy Managing Director Bill Calderwood.

Mr. Calderwood says the ATC was also very conscious of the need to maintain a strong partnership with an agency in the final lead up to the Sydney 2000 Olympics. The ATC was also keen to see the Pure Creative DMB&B office in Sydney take a stronger global lead on the account.
