Dot-coms' ad spending hit $670 mil in November: CMR

Dot-com companies spent $671.6 million on advertising in November 1999, up more than 518% from the same period a year before, according to Competitive Media Reporting. Dot-coms spent $155.4 million on magazine advertising and $150.7 million on network TV. The biggest spender for the month among the dot-coms was Ameritrade, which spent $18.6 million.
