DoubleClick, AAF offer scholarship

DoubleClick and the American Advertising Federation announced on June 16 at the annual AAF conference in Kansas City, Mo., that the two companies will offer $2,500 grants to college juniors studying marketing, advertising and communications beginning in the 1998-1999 school year.

To apply, students must carry a 3.0 GPA and an interest in online media to be eligible for the grant, dubbed the DoubleClick/AAF Future New Media Leader Grant. Applications require students to create an online marketing plan for a fictional package-goods company and develop at least one piece of creative output by September 1997. Grant recipients will be named in March 1998. The AAF has 215 college chapters as well as professional-level advertising associations in cities across the country.
