(July 10, 2001) -- Interpublic Group of Cos.' DraftWorldwide, Chicago, was named creative agency of record by Brink's Home Security after a review that included Omnicom Group's Rapp Collins Worldwide and two undisclosed agencies.

The incumbent, Interpublic's Deutsch, New York, which handled creative and media for Brink's, resigned the account June 30. Draft will handle print, direct mail and direct-response TV. Spending was not disclosed.

"To win a business that was handled by Deutsch in a shootout with some big agencies shows that the renewed emphasis on creative is working," said DraftWorldwide Chicago President Lee Hill.

WPP Group-owned Young & Rubicam's Wunderman, New York, was awarded the $10 million direct media buying and planning business last month after doing some project work for Brink's. -- Cara Beardi
