Ericsson taps Y&R

Ericsson Mobile Communications, Stockholm, moved its $40 million worldwide mobile phone account to Young & Rubicam, changing its marketing focus to consumers from business. Y&R's Creswell Munsell Futz & Zirbel, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, keeps the U.S. business, and Bates Worldwide loses all other business. Y&R will run the business out of Stockholm, London, and the U.S. Finnish telecom rival Nokia led in switching to target personal users through ads and sponsorships by Grey Advertising, London.
