Euro RSCG takes stake in German marketing services agency

NEW YORK-- Euro RSCG Worldwide, a unit of Paris-based Havas Advertising Group, has acquired a major stake in Kremer Foerster Hintze (KFH), a leading marketing services agency based in Duesseldorf. The group will become part of Euro RSCG's branded marketing services operation, The Sales Machine, and will take on The Sales Machine branding.

"We already have a substantial marketing services offering in Germany with our acquisition of MHI Partners earlier in the year," says Daniel Morel, CEO of The Sales Machine.

Established in 1988 by Gerald Kremer, KFH currently employs 28 people. Mr. Kremer and Ulrich Foerster will continue as managing directors of the company. With 1998 billings of $11.5 million, the agency's client roster includes Peugeot.

The Sales Machine Germany is headed by Reinhard Renner. With 100 employees, The Sales Machine is among the top 10 marketing services operations in Germany. Its leading clients include Bang & Olufsen, Deutsche Postbank and Peugeot.

The Sales Machine is comprised of 76 agencies in 40 countries offering consulting, direct marketing, sales promotion, event marketing, sales force motivation and database marketing.
