1996 Winter Equestrian Festival, said to be the largest horse show in North America, seeks additional sponsors for its Jan. 27-March 30 event in Palm Beach, Fla., including several qualifying competitions for the Summer Olympics. Sponsorship includes on-site product promotion, sampling and kiosk systems at costs ranging from $5,000 to $200,000. Chevrolet Pikes Peak Auto Hill Climb, Colorado Springs, Colo., seeks sponsors for its 74th annual event slated for July 4, in which multiple classes of vehicles will attempt to reach the 14,110-foot summit in less than 10 minutes. Sponsors get on-site logo representation and product marketing opportunities at the event, which draws thousands and will be televised on ESPN. Costs range from $10,000 to $75,000. Great American 3 on 3 Soccer Shoot-out wants to score local and national sponsors for its grass-roots tournament scheduled for 20 U.S. cities in 1996, culminating in a national championship. Endorsed by the U.S. Inter-regional Soccer League, the events offer on-site product promotion and sampling at costs ranging from $2,500 (presenting) to $50,000 (title). Florida WestFest, Fort Lauderdale, is lining up sponsors for its first annual country and western event slated for Feb. 23 to March 3. Featuring the East Coast's largest rodeo, country and western entertainment, and monster truck demonstrations, the event benefits the local Boys & Girls Clubs and includes multiple sponsor opportunities at costs ranging from $2,500 to $20,000. Dancing Bears Racing, Somers, N.Y., seeks sponsors for its entry in the 13th annual 5,000-mile One Lap of America car rally, which is slated for June 9 to 16. Only the Ball Was White, a touring multimedia program documenting the history of the Negro Baseball leagues, has opportunities for its 28-college tour running Jan. 1 to March 15.
