Experimental Aircraft Association, Oshkosh, Wis., is lifting off with sponsors for the 44th annual Fly-In Convention slated for Aug. 1 to 7, expected to draw 12,000 flying machines and 800,000 spectators from around the world. Sponsorship packages are available at various levels beginning at $25,000 for a five-year commitment; the event also includes more than 500 workshops and forums. Racing for Animals, a new two-car racing team competing in the 1996 Barber Dodge Pro Series, is looking for sponsors for its 12-race tour next March through October promoting kindness to animals. Sponsorship opportunities include on-vehicle representation, team merchandising and team public appearance tours. Costs range from $10,000 to $750,000. Arizona Super Bowl XXX Preview Party, Phoenix, wants to join forces with sponsors for its officially sanctioned consumer event slated for Jan. 12 to 15 at six metropolitan area shopping centers. The in-mall promotion, expected to reach more than 3 million consumers, includes Super Bowl-related NFL player appearances, interactive games, contests and giveaways. Treasure Coast Classic, slated for Jan. 24 to 28 in Vero Beach, Fla., seeks sponsors on various levels for its second annual event pitting 32 top Senior PGA players against 32 top LPGA players. National Lesbian & Gay Health Association, Washington, wants to line up sponsors for its 18th annual Health Conference and 14th annual AIDS/HIV Forum, scheduled for July 13 to 17 in Seattle. College Football USA seeks sponsors for its new program backing football at 670 colleges across the U.S., with support also going to non-football men's and women's athletic programs. Sponsorship costs $350,000, giving participants association rights with the organization, plus access to college sports marketing and discounts on national promotions and event sponsorship.
