A new survey of broadband users by broadband portal [email protected]
indicates broadband users tend to use the Internet in different ways than narrowband users. The study found broadband users tend to spend more time surfing the Web, taking advantage of e-commerce and exploring streaming audio and video on the Internet. Compared to dial-up users, broadband consumer spend 55% more time online; spend more money online ($400 vs. $209); greatly increase the number of Web sites visited; are 46% more likely to watch movie trailers; and 58% more likely to watch streaming video. conducts quarterly surveys of its users; these data were gathered through online interviews with 5,866 respondents conducted from July 3 to 10.
