Names Marketing Execs, Eliminates Jaguar Post

DETROIT ( -- Ford Motor Co. continued changes at its North American arm of its Premier Automotive Group, Irvine, Calif.

In April the automaker's began reorganizing the group, which now represents Ford's European brands: Volvo, Jaguar, Land Rover and Aston Martin.

With the shuffle, Richard Beattie moves to executive vice president for marketing and sales for Jaguar and Land Rover, from vice president of sales, service and marketing at Ford's Lincoln Mercury, a brand that was earlier moved out of PAG into to its new North American Consumer Business Group.

the post of general manager at Jaguar, leading to the departure of Sue Callaway. Ms. Callaway had been with Fortune magazine as a senior editor covering the automotive industry and was hired by former Ford CEO Jacques Nasser after she had interviewed him for an article.

"Now that the role of general manmager has been eliminated, I felt that it is the right time for me to pursue other opportunities," she said.

Separately, Jaguar promoted George Ayres to vice president of marketing from manager of business strategy. He succeeds Michelle Cervantez, who returned to Ford headquarters to take a newly created post.
