Gallo plans ad push, looks for young adults

The biggest challenge facing the wine industry today is drawing a new generation of wine lovers, said Ernest Gallo, CEO of the nation's largest wine marketer, E&J Gallo Winery. "We're looking for young adults," he said in an interview with Advertising Age at an American Advertising Federation luncheon honoring Hal Riney as this year's Advertising Leader of the West. Mr. Gallo said he has not given up on the power of advertising and plans a new ad push "that's different from anything we've done in the past."
