GeoCities adds new channel

GeoCities Wednesday signed its 500,000th "homesteader" (consumer that creates a home page) and launched a small business channel called Eureka. Eureka features Mita Copiers as an advertiser, and will likely also tap advertising from Federal Express and IBM Corp. In other news, Rich Rygg was named VP-general manager at GeoCities, from founder of Digital City, Los Angeles.
