GM inks deal with eBay

General Motors Corp. and eBay formed a strategic marketing relationship for online and offline promotions. The agreement, which extends through 2001, calls for the creation of special joint promotions and community events to bring new users to eBay Motors and allows GM to offer services on eBay Motors that are not currently available on the site. GM also will have an advertising presence on and will be the exclusive automotive sponsor of eBay subsidiary Kruse International's live auction events. eBay Motors can be accessed through or its co-branded site, Special charity sales will be featured and GM will showcase services that complement eBay's existing auto-related services.
