GM selects Modem Media to lead Internet strategy, e-commerce initiatives

General Motors Corp. has selected Web shop Modem Media, Norwalk, Conn., to help built and implement an Internet strategy for e-GM, GM's e-commerce business unit. This account win is expected to generate $30 million in revenue for Modem Media over the next three years and will include the support of Internet branding strategies, particularly for GM BuyPower, an online vehicle shopping and buying service that provides consumers with access to product inventory, dealer information and custom vehicle building.
