Go2Net to launch ad campaign

Go2Net, Seattle, breaks its first consumer ad campaign March 10. Hadley-Green, Seattle, created the print and outdoor campaign that's running in New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago and Boston. Print ads are running in USA Today, Yahoo! Internet Life and Wired.

Go2Net is a umbrella portal for Go2Net's sites, which include Silicon Investor, PlaySite and the MetaCrawler search service, which is integrated across the portal. Combined, Go2Net's sites receive 13 million unique users a month.

"The goal is to reach next generation Internet users--people who've been online for six months or more and who are looking for a better way to access information they need," said Go2Net Director of Marketing Kirby Winfield. The ads, tagged "When you're done surfing," try to convey the idea that when users are finished surfing around the Web they come and stay at Go2Net.
