Healthcare ad companies to merge

Healthcare ad tracking and media buying companies Healthcare Communications, Princeton, N.J., and PERQ Research Corp., Wilton, Conn., will merge and operate under the name PERQ/HCI. PERQ is a unit of VNU Marketing Information Services, New York. VNU will take an 80% stake in the new company; HCI shareholders will get a 20% interest. The two companies had joint revenues in 1996 of more than $9.5 million.
