Holiday Inn Worldwide, Atlanta, and Young & Rubicam, New York, have ended their 10-year relationship by mutual consent. Holiday Inn Exec VP-Marketing John Sweetwood said he hopes to have a new agency selected within 45 days, so that the company can begin preparing its fall ad campaign. Mr. Sweetwood said Holiday Inn will be interviewing agencies capable of international marketing.
Holiday spends about $28 million each year on advertising. Mr. Sweetwood also said Holiday Inn will begin a summertime radio-only media campaign to run for three months.
