Behold Estee Lauder Inc.'s new face: Actress Elizabeth Hurley, the British chameleon who in a special nine-page insert in September Vogue is transformed from gamin to starlet and everything in between.

She contracted with much fanfare with Lauder earlier this year, but in recent weeks became more notable for her connection to actor Hugh Grant, Ms. Hurley's nearly ex-boyfriend after his notorious escapade with a Hollywood hooker.

Ms. Hurley's face will be used by Lauder for at least three to four years on all Lauder cosmetics, skincare and fragrance brand visuals, including in-store photography and TV which breaks shortly.

One piece of the new puzzle that has yet to be resolved: the fate of the Lauder ac-count. Bates Worldwide is agency of record for Lauder media as well as makeup and skincare TV creative. But since May, when it assigned to Lowe & Partners creative responsibility for the Pleasures and Beautiful fragrances, speculation has been that by January Lowe would also be agency of record worldwide for all TV fragrance creative. Whether Lowe or any other shop will get that and more, Lauder executives, aren't saying.
