Infoseek names new VP-ad sales

Infoseek Corp. appointed Beth Haggerty as its new VP-worldwide ad sales, filling a position held by Karl Spangenberg until he left in April to join Internet profiling startup @plan. Ms. Haggerty was formerly publishing director of CMP's Internet Media Division, overseeing NetGuide Magazine and NetGuide Live. Several executives have left Infoseek in the last few months, something it attributes to a change in business models.
