Inside line: SFX plays up theater series via CD-ROM

SFX Entertainment, the Clear Channel Communications-owned producer and marketer of entertainment events, will send CD-ROMs to 280,000 subscribers across the country to promote its Broadway Series. The series consists of 27 productions currently playing on Broadway that might tour to regional subscribers' towns next year. The CD-ROM, created in-house, features show synopses, cast profiles, reviews, ticket information and video highlights.

Lens Express, a direct seller of replacement contact lenses, tapped Publicis Groupe's Publicis Dialog, Salt Lake City, as U.S. agency of record to handle a $5 million integrated campaign. The national direct marketing effort starts with a series of TV spots rolling out over the next few months on A&E, CNN and Lifetime Television for Women. Publicis Dialog also is responsible for lead generation, customer relationship and database marketing, and media planning and buying.

Dimac Marketing Partners, New York, is expanding its direct marketing services to e-mail through a partnership with e-mail marketing company Bigfoot Interactive. The deal makes Bigfoot a partner with Dimac's Interactive Strategic Solutions Group.
