Internet shopping for the holidays saves money, not just time

With online shopping promising to take a much bigger bite out of shopping-mall sales this holiday shopping season, hopes to capitalize on its position as a portal offering discounts and coupons good for both online and offline shopping. According to Forrester Research, approximately 55% of online shoppers are focused on finding the best values, rather than shopping online for the convenience of not having to leave home. Those value-conscious consumers make up 80% of online purchases under $500, Forrester noted.
