iVillage to unveil new area on Web

iVillage, New York, is scheduled to launch its next channel, "About Work," on the Web the week of Sept. 2. with advertisers IBM, UPS and Starbucks as sponsors, according to Robert Levitan, Sr. VP-market development.

The new media company recently hired Modem Media, Westport, Conn., to handle an approximately $2 million interactive and print promotional campaign..

Mr. Levitan said the iVillage brands, which exist both on AOL and on the Web, are beginning to draw more traffic from Web users: according to recent data, about 60% of iVillage's traffic on its Web site comes in from AOL users, compared to 75% of that traffic at launch earlier this year.
