LONDON -- Senior international marketers will discuss everything from their version of the ad agency of the future to how to develop new global brands at Advertising Age International's conference Marketing 2020 Europe in London on June 30 and July 1.

The conference, to be held in conjunction with the International Advertising Association's U.K. chapter, is the main event in London International Advertising Week.

A trio of marketers will talk about how they turned Nokia mobile phones, pharmaceuticals company Novatis and Smirnoff vodka into global brands. They are Nokia's Anssi Novartis, Senior VP; Chris King, Director, International Communications & PR at Novartis; and Tim Dewey, Brand Development Director - Europe, United Distillers & Vintners.

High-level marketers from Kellogg's, Mars Inc., IBM and Audi will share insights into their relationships with ad agencies and visions of the agency of the future in a panel coordinated by Jorg Dietzel, Managing Director, Audi Agency Network.

At Marketing 2020 conferences, the panel devoted to media is always the loudest and liveliest. Unlikely to break with tradition are Les Margulis, Senior VP, International Media Director, BBDO Worldwide; Paul Woolmington, President & Chief Media Officer for International Media operations at Young & Rubicam; David McMurtrie, MediaCom's Director of International Media; Brian Jacobs, Managing Director, Carat International and Mainardo de Nardis, chairman, CIA Medianetwork International.

Other highlights include: Russ Shaw, American Express' Head of Marketing and Advertising, Global Network Services Group, on digital TV. Julian Bond, Managing Director, Research International, on trends in new product development. Katherine Randolph, Director International at Microsoft, and Simon Darling, Unilever's Interactive Marketing and Electronic Commerce Manager, on Internet marketing.

The conference ends with a lunch to honor the Media Innovators named by Ad Age International. They are executives from client companies, agencies and media specialists who each combine clout, expertise, strategic vision and a stellar reputation in the industry. They include the international media directors of some of the biggest advertisers in the world and the moving forces behind the creation of new global media brands.
