KFC sets aside major spending for sandwiches

KFC will devote a major portion of its estimated $161 million media budget in 2000 to its new line of sandwiches, with network advertising scheduled throughout the year. Also, the chain is testing a new line of side dishes targeted to African-American consumers in urban markets. Y&R Advertising, New York, is KFC's longtime agency.
