Executives close to Eastman Kodak Co. last week confirmed that Saatchi & Saatchi Advertising's Kid Connection, New York, received tentative approval for a global marketing program targeted to children (AA, Feb. 3). Kodak and Saatchi declined to comment.
Final details are being worked out and a Kodak executive said an announcement will be made by March.
The Kodak for Kids line, jointly developed with Tyco Toys and introduced in mid-1995, didn't reach consumers until last October via Sears, Roebuck & Co. and J.C. Penney Co. catalogs.
It is unclear if the line, which is made up of a microscope, videoscope and other items, is part of the Kid Connection project.
