Lexus plans print ads to fight tariff

Toyota Motor Sales USA's Lexus division as early as this week plans a national newspaper campaign on the 100% tariff set to take effect June 28 on Japanese luxury cars. Team One, El Segundo, late Friday was presenting alternative creative to Lexus.

Consumer magazine advertising stayed strong in May. Publishers Information Bureau reported ad pages rose 6.1% to 18,502 for the month; revenue was up 13.5% from a year earlier to $915.2 million.
