Mall ad venture begins

Corporation for Laser Objects Research, Portsmouth, N.H., and White Balloon Imaging, Dover, N.H., are teaming up to install shopping mall screens that are intended to carry spots of national marketers whose products are sold in the malls. COLOR is supplying 7 1/2-foot-by-10-foot screens, which will run 30-second spots as well as movie previews, mall promotions and community messages. White Balloon, a spinoff of Dover ad agency Duffy Woods Hall, will handle ad sales. The first screen installations are expected late this year, with plans to expand nationally. No ad deals have yet been signed.
