Mass Transit Interactive sets launch of affiliate marketing unit

Digital marketing agency Mass Transit Interactive, New York, is launching an affiliate marketing division, to be headed by Peter Figueredo. The unit expects to open its doors in 2001 with three clients, including a major media company. Mass Transit's online affiliate marketing programs involve the recruitment and management of partner sites to become virtual online sales forces - affiliates-for its clients. This network of sites helps market, advertise and brand a client offering by providing links that sell the clients products or services. Figueredo most recently developed New York-based's i-traffic's affiliate marketing division, growing that division from three to 16 professionals.
