McCann boosts execs

Interpublic Group of Cos.' McCann-Erickson WorldGroup tapped three of its senior-most executives to assume additional responsibilities overseeing relations between global clients and all of the company's six marketing-communications entities, effective immediately.

Marcio Moreira, McCann-Erickson vice chairman-chief creative officer, retains that title and becomes worldwide director of multinational accounts. Eric Einhorn, exec VP-director of marketing, remains exec VP and becomes chief strategy officer. Joseph Plummer, exec VP-director of brand strategy on global accounts, becomes director of research and insight development at McCann-Erickson. Each of the three executives continue in their current roles, said Jim Heekin, CEO, McCann Erickson WorldGroup, but take on more managerial duties.

Twenty-five of McCann's top global clients work with three or more of its companies, which include advertising, relationship marketing, public relations and corporate branding. With the promotions, Mr. Heekin said, "we are devoting resources to better integrate communication and knowledge-sharing. ... The result, we hope, will provide clients with truly integrated marketing programs."
