DUESSELDORF -- McCann-Erickson Worldwide has announced from its German headquarters in Frankfurt that it plans to re-open an office in Duesseldorf, where it had an agency until the late 1980s.

The agency will service the network's L'Oreal account in Germany as well as Coca-Cola Co., which is headquartered in nearby Essen. In addition, the agency will handle Westdeutsche Zeitung and three cheese brands by Arla foods.

"The Dusseldorf office is already involved in two account pitches," said McCann-Erickon Germany Chairman Helmut Sendlmeier. Names of prospective clients would not be disclosed.
