June 2 through August will run a campaign of animated Web banners featuring a chicken crossing a road, a fly getting swatted, car chases and a game of pool - all to promote Microsoft Liquid Motion, a new Web animation tool. The campaign was created by Anderson & Lembke, San Francisco, which handles most of Microsoft's online advertising. Liquid Motion will allow Web users to create and publish Web animations. A&L used the software to develop the banners - ``in essence letting the product sell itself,'' said Glen Sheehan, Anderson associate creative director. ``That way, potential users can immediately recognize what Liquid Motion has to offer - great animation, sound, interactivity.'' Banner ads will use the tag, ``Easy animation for every Web.'' Microsoft will promote a free trial download of the software.
