Midas taps Tatham

Midas International Corp., Chicago, named Euro RSCG Tatham to handle its $20 million to $25 million strategic and creative account. Tatham's first ads for Midas are expected to appear before the end of December. Other finalists were Cramer-Krasselt, Chicago, and Lowe & Partners/SMS, New York. DeVito/Verdi, New York, withdrew in early December. Incumbent Foote, Cone & Belding, Chicago, resigned the account. FCB had won the Midas business in the summer of 1997. Both Tatham and Cramer were finalists in the 1997 review. The auto services chain consolidated media buying at TN Media, Chicago, last summer.
