A familiar byline is now on the masthead at Advertising Age: Michael McCarthy.

Mr. McCarthy, most recently a freelancer specializing in sports marketing, joins as reporter covering sports marketing and media as well as automotive marketing. A 12-year veteran of USA Today, Mr. McCarthy has also reported at Newsday and Adweek and writes his own blog, Sportsbizusa.com.
