Netscape Communications Corp. announced that it has developed the Secure Courier, the first open, cross-platform protocol for securing financial data on the Internet. MasterCard and Intuit have already voiced their support for the scheme, which will support the standard for bank card transactions being developed jointly by Visa and MasterCard.
