Nuclear Energy Institute to appeal NAD ruling

The Nuclear Energy Institute said it would appeal a decision of the National Advertising Division of the Council of Better Business Bureaus that its ads were not totally truthful in environmental claims and while it will change ads, hasn't made a decision on whether to include claims NAD ruled against. It also said the ads, from Smith & Harroff, Alexandria, Va., were intended as public policy ads and shouldn't be subject to NAD's review of consumer advertising.
